Supplemental Grow Lighting Proven to Significantly Boost Yields
Posted on May 14 2019
LED Grow Lights are increasing in popularity in the home gardening market and the commercial agricultural industry. With an ideal spectrum for plant growth, a considerably longer lifespan than traditional HPS fixtures, and incredible efficiency, home growers and commercial operations alike are making the switch to LED.
Available in a blue dominant spectrum which provides additional energy during vegetative growth, and a red dominant spectrum that encourages flowering, supplemental LED grow lights are the preferred way to both speed up vegetative growth and improve yields during the flowering stage. The Vegetative Bar Lights are biased on the blue end of the spectrum and are utilized for all leafy greens and plants that need to remain in a Vegetative stage before initiating Flowering. The Flowering Bar Lights are biased on the red end of the spectrum and are great for all supplemental lighting on high light use plants that are in the Flowering stage or as standalone Flowering stage lights for average light use plants. Adding supplemental lighting under a dense canopy provides substantial energy to flower sites that may be blocked from an overhead light by lush growth.
Award-winning Kind LED Grow Lights recently unveiled a range of supplemental LED bar lights called the X-Series. Included in the X-Series are their 4’ and 8’ X40 and X80 single-sided bar lights, the XD75 4’ dual-sided bar light, and the 4’ XC150 COB (Chip on Board) bar light.
The X-Series Bar Lights were designed with the utmost versatility in mind. With an IP65 rating and ETL listing, its applications are used to speed up and stabilize vegetative plants and maximize flowering yields up to 20% more. Kind LEDs proprietary “Perfect Blend Spectrum” is available in either flower or vegetative integrations provides photon emissions in every essential wavelength along the photosynthetic spectrum. Perfectly tuned photosynthetic photon flux density (PPFD) delivers optimal concentration and quantity of photon energy from canopy surface to base of the plant. The X-Series Bar Lights have an IP65 (Ingress Protection Rating) that ensures the safety of using them in the harsh conditions of commercial greenhouses. An IP65 rating means that the lights are completely dust-tight and can also handle the spray from a 6.3mm water nozzle from any direction with no harmful effects. In addition, the X Series is ETL Listed, meaning it complies to North American safety standards
